Bio

Sophia Kyriakou (1974) studied art at the Athens School of Fine Arts, at Y. Psychopedis’ workshop and at the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona (Erasmus). She holds an interdepartmental Masters from the Aegean University and the University of Western Macedonia, titled Applied Clinical Sociology and Art. Her research project “Fleves: The Eco Art Project” involves intervention practices related to environmental protection, using art and culture as tools. 

From 2007 to 2011, she taught painting and scenography at the School of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia. In recent years, she has been teaching visual arts in secondary education.

She has held nine solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
